The food and beverages of Corsica are without equal!

They delight from the first flaky croissant or baguette of the morning, to the final wine or digestif at the end of another sumptuous day, (and no need to worry... there are plenty of sportif opportunities in Corsica to burn off any extra calories).

The cuisine blends authentic French, Italian and Corsican recipes with naturally rich flavored Corsican meats and cheeses, and exceptional local wines and aperitifs. Like the rest of Corsica, the ingredients are beautiful and REAL. No preservatives in the wines, cheeses or meats, instead the Corsicans use centuries old preserving techniques that care for the food without adding chemicals. It smells and tastes divine! Here, mixed among amid street vendors are photos from meals prepared by our friends. Bon Appetite!

Some of my favorites include (L to R): Apricot croissants; Corsican liqueurs, wines and cookies; Sliced cochon (pig) to be served with melon; Saucisson and lonzo charcuterie (pork); Wild sanglier (boar) stew, and of course pizza! (Click here to read more about the food of Corsica)

Jean-Pierre of La Casaloha B&B prepares the jambon de cochon..

Pizza is always from 'Le Chariot' in Algajola, thanks to the expert crafting by Christophe (on the right)!
